Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen has married for a third time.
Collen, 52, wed Helen Simmons, 42, on the beach of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Manalapan, Florida. It was the same spot where he proposed last August.
The musician told The New York Times, "I knew she was 'the one' within an hour of meeting her."
The father-of-three even wrote a song 'Seven Minutes', which is a reference to the time he says it took him to persuade his new love to marry him.
"I knew I would need more than 5 and I figured 10 would be too long," he explained. "I needed to say what I had to say but in a way that she wouldn't think I was a nut case."
Simmons says that the now clean-living rocker's stardom had nothing to do with her decision to tie the knot.
"I'm a Michael Jackson fan," she said. "I didn’t even know who he was."
