Terri Seymour admits she has lupus disease

Simon Cowell's ex-girlfriend Terri Seymour has revealed that she suffers from lupus disease.

The TV presenter, 36, used to date the music mogul and has now told the world that she found out she had the chronic condition when she was in her teens.

She said: "When I was an 18-year-old model, I developed lupus, a disease where my body's own immune system attacks healthy cells and tissues.

"I was in terrible pain and had to be put on a cocktail of drugs. I have been in remission for years. But it's made me much more aware of my own mortality."

Poker Face singer Lady Gaga revealed earlier this year that she has tested 'borderline positive' for the condition.
